Hi Peter, The original you show in the picture just looks like it has surface corrosion to the aluminium, I would be attempting to clean it up with a bit of Solvol or equivalent, after maybe a bit of fine abrasive sheet to remove any loose stuff first.
Aluminium usually cleans up okay in my experience!

Hi both, found these on Amazon (if the link works), might be a workaround until the correct ones appear from somewhere... my side rail is 20mm wide o/all with a 10mm wide slot so they might just fit.

Hi Guys,
I wouldn't think it would be that difficult for a competent DIY er to fabricate something like that out of aluminium, if I was stuck I would probably attempt it, no doubt it would take up some precious time doing it but if i was stuck I would.
Time is the thing, now I am fully retired, I don't have enough of it any more! Too many things to do, so I don't know how I managed things when I had a full time job.
Our MS 18 has two of these things fitted but as the boat is presently fitted with a canopy that doesn't need them, they are redundant along with the frame but who knows I may need them again in the future!

Hi Peter,
I have the same problem with corroded slider. I've seen something similar on J Clarke Marine. Hopefully screenshot uploads.
Sheridan Marine have exact match for bracket but this has been out of stock for some time.
J Clarke bracket looks similar at canopy rail connection but does not have the slot on the back that locates onto slide rail and allows slide adjust. I was going to screw fix in position onto slide rail. Not really used slide rail so it might do the trick.

Hi, thanks for that, the track and sliders shown are for horizontal mounting, mine are side fastened, which I think is unusual. Cheers.

Hi all, pic attached (hopefully) of very corroded slider for the metal canopy support rail on my Navigator. Having a lot of difficulty finding a replacement, except in the States. Anyone seen anything like this in UK?
