That is odd ? That plug is clearly from the bilge. I assume the Seacock fitted to mine is there only to drain anything getting into the compartment holding the fuel tank. Nothing has ever come out of it.

Thank you for your advice and of course as you suggested it is good practice however on my boat there isn’t a drain off valve. Very strange!!

* Thank you for sending a photo of your fuel drain off. As you see in my photo I don’t have one (confused)

On my 2000 Fishing 24 I have fitted a glass diesel filter onto the fuel line onto the bulkhead to spot any water .

There is a drain tap attached to bulkhead with 'drain water from fuel instruction' but this has never been connected.

The other drain on forward bulkhead floor is simple the forward bilge drain.

Furguson,
It is routine standard practice to drain accumulated water from diesel tanks. Just drain it until clean diesel flows.

Hi, I have just acquired a fishing 24 and in the deck locker behind the cabin doors there is a dinghy type transom plug on the bulkhead behind the diesel tank with a notice saying “remove once a week in order to remove water from the diesel tank” I have unscrewed this plug and about a litre of yellowish liquid came out.
At first I thought it was bilge cleaner but now confused.
