Roger - PS
There is an informal email group of twelve Hardy 32 owners; if you can get your email address to me I can add you, if you wish. Which 32 have you got?

Roger
There should be better access through the contents senders that can be removed via little wooden access panels in the floor above, one beneath the sofa and one behind the helm seat. I can't remember whether there are larger panels in the tops of the tanks that are also accessible via the same floor panels. I don't know whether there are baffles in the fuel tanks; there certainly are baffles in the potable water tanks that make cleaning out difficult.

Slight thread drift but not long after I had my 32 I removed the sofa seats and discovered a small locker that happened to be full of expensive Yanmar spares and manuals. No idea how they got there, nor am I giving any assurances that you will find the same! Similarly, there are voids beneath the seats in the dinette, the aft one having the fluxgate compass for the autopilot. I had it moved to the forward one, further away from the influence of the engine blocks and greatly reducing the compass deviation.

I have some dirty fuel in the tanks of my Hardy 32 after too little use last year and it looks like the tanks will require cleaning and the residual fuel polishing. Access to the tanks seems quite difficult tucked up under the side decks. Are there any hatches etc or is the deck filler the only way in?

Thanks for any advice,
Roger King
