Hi Jon,
I was a former employee of Hardy Marine during the 1980's and the first few Hardy 25 's were fitted with your type of rudder. Your rudder was the first generation rudder which was changed because the steering was not very positive. The second generation rudder which is the one in the second photo was the one fitted to all the future Hardy 25 and was a far better steering boat. The rudder needs more blade area behind the pivot point and not ahead as in the case of yours. There mould as long since gone. The only way tomake a new rudder now would be to make a new mould.

Kind Regards
Simon Papendick

* My Hardy 25 zig-zags all the time, she has been fitted with a Beta 35hp + Sail drive and it looks to me as if the rudder has been replaced. Does anyone have any picture of what should be there please
