Hi Terry
Thanks for the warning. I'll take a pill before I start!

Hi Derek,
I've was on the same journey a while ago and found the Plastimo to be the replacement I needed. The tricky bit was the fitting. It looks like your old one might come out easily, I had one bolt that had to be sawn off and then punched out. The old nuts were buried under the head lining which was tricky. The cable was ahorter than the original which meant the joint came in the wrong place, again under the headlining. All in all not as straight forward as expected but hey thats old boats for you. and all part of the fun. Best of luck.
Terry

After asking this question, I continued my internet search and found this - "Plastimo Cabin Controlled S/S Search Light 12v". Can be obtained from Cactus Navigation.
Maybe this will be useful for someone else.

* The spotlight on the wheelhouse roof of my Pilot needs replacing. It would be good to get a like for like replacement if still available. The only thing I can see to identify it are the letters "YL" on the glass.
Anyone have any knowledge to help? Thanks in anticipation.
