Hi Clive,
Thank you, It came from one of the main chandlers, I will see if I can find the bill.
I could not get one long enough to cover both of the holes, so that was the longest in relation to the max depth that would fit.
I joined the holes in the side so that I had one large access point and covered the final part of the hole with a stainless grill to give ventilation.
It has made access so much easier than the two small hatches.
I have gone for a white interior except for stained locker cappings as it makes the boat feel larger, rather than all stained wood and is that much brighter inside.

Hi Richard,
All photos look good from this end!
Sorry I can't help you with the age of your Pilot, but your hull form looks similar to ours on Adele - who was built in 1989, and has a blue hull, prior to your white hulled version. There are some other posts on here about build year and hull form if you search the forum that might also help. Otherwise it is down to the build plates and hull numbers that you should be able to locate somewhere as Simon has mentioned.
However, just wondered where you sourced that hatch for under the galley from? Just playing with ideas as you do...
Thanks!
Clive

Hi Richard,
The age will be early 1990's as before then they were Oxford blue in the late 1980's there were a few blue and white Hardy boats. There was only one all white Pilot which when to the middle east. It was one of two Hardys the other Hardy was a fast fishing 33 which when to the same owner.
Regards
Simon

Hi Simon,
Checked all the places today, inside the gas locker return, all over the wheelhouse area and all along the hull between rope and rubber fender, even behind rope.
The Helm is original but was badly restained by a previous owner so I decided to paint it white along with the lockers to brighten the boat up.
The cockpit did have carpet but was badly stained so I am going to fit some more teak effect flooring in there.
Also changing the red antifoul for a nice royal Blue.
Will be selling her soon as I need a bigger boat to keep the other half happy but will miss her as they are great boats.
She is out of the water for a full polish and rewaxto keep her in tip top condition.
What year did they bring the white hulled ones in?
The owners previous to the guy that I bought her from was the Christchurch sailing club who used her as there race starter boat, so she had a taller mast when I first bought her.

Hi Richard,
I am very surprised you can not find a number on the hull or cockpit coaming. I understand the one missing on the steering bulkhead as that is not the bulkhead they came with as they were teak faced plywood. The white hardy pilots were starting to be build as I left Hardy Marine. However. The numbers were always in the same place on all the boats that produced while I was at Hardy marine. So I am surprised that your boat as no number on it.

Hi Simon
I have done the mods to the boat other than wardrobe that came with boat.
Have looked all over for number, but cannot see one anywhere and the build plate has gone.
See some more photos, the boat is white hulled.

Hi Richard,
looking at the photos,The cockpit is not the way Hardy Marine finished the cockpit as they were carpeted and not white flow coated as in your photos. The lockers lids in the front of the galley unit are after market items. The seat pedestal and locker are also non standard. So I every much doubt that the hanging locker to port in the cabin was build at Hardy Marine and a previous owner as fitted that hanging locker and done the other mods to the boat..
If you wish to discuss about your boat, you can call me on my works mbile07534045729.
Kind Regards
Simon Papendick

Why do my photos always come out side on?
They are imported from my PC the correct way around?

Hi Simon,
Thanks for your help on this, I have no numbers in the boat at both locations but will have a look for one between the fender and rope.
I have attached a couple of photos of the inside of my Hardy, I have rewired and repainted her inside along with a new hatch for the galley unit and vent but structurally she is as she came to me.
I believe the wardrobe is Hardys as the small hatch in the locker bottom is fashioned the same as all the ones below the bunks.

Hi Richard,
The numbers were in three different places on Pilot's. one was on the steering bulkhead, just under the deck. The other two were on the hull just between the black fender and above the rope fender, the final place was on the deck moulding to the port side of the outboard well and above the back locker. As for the interior, could you send me some photos so I can let you know if it was a Hardy original spec or a feature that was put in at a later date.
Kind Regards

Here is a picture of the keel of my Hardy Pilot, just trying to work out age as no numbers on boat, it is a white hulled version with two berths and a wardrobe opposite the Heads compartment.
Thanks
Richard
