Hi Simon,Grateful thanks for your information. I have kept the wire which is plastic covered and will send this to the rope works with the order for the right rope diameter ! Your help very much appreciated. Regards and thanks. Ernie B

Hi Ernest,
Did you keep the wire from the old rope fender. If so the rope itself is the same diameter as the family Pilot which was 72mm . If you did not keep the wire from the old rope fender the only way willbe to run a long tape measure around the hull between the deck flange and the wooden rail along the hull and put a piece of light line around the bow roller to keep the tape measure in the correct position.

I need to know the diameter of the fender rope for a Hardy Regatta (19ft). Is it 60 cm or 70 cm ? I wonder if Simon knows as he was involved in building the first Regatta. I stupidly forgot to take the measure when stripping the old fender off. Grateful thanks for help. Ernie B
