Hello Martin.
I have one tank the same as your which still seems ok.
I also have another which has the same connector as what goes onto the engine(picture attached).

Hi Martin,
I have just had the same problem with a client's fuel tank with the same end fitting. My suppliers could not find a replacement parts for the such an old fuel tank end.The reason for the change was that over a number of years the seals breakdown and the fuel tank fittings leak. So in the end I had to get a new tank and remove the old fuel tank end and replace it with the new type end fitting.

P.S. Most Mercury / Mariner main dealer have the fuel tanks in stock as well as the new type fuel tank end fittings

Dear All,
I have a pair of Quicksilver 25L fuel tanks vintage circa 1989 (see picture). They fit neatly side-by-side under the outboard well. The engine is a Tohatsu 70 two-stroke.
The problem is that seals/gaskets around the fuel pick-ups/gauges appear to need replacing. I cannot find any part numbers for ones which would match these tanks. Has anyone else had to make or obtain replacement seals for tanks like these and if so where did they get them from?
If the only option is new replacements, what specific tanks do others use?
