Hi Steve,
The lines have a small bowline in one end and the you tie off the line once you have tensioned up the line and half hitch the end of the line.

Simon

Hi Simon,
the knots I am referring to would be the the three each side of the bow as opposed to the tensioning knots each side on the stern.

Cheers
Steve.

My query is what is the knot that is used to hold the fender rope in position ?

I have searched the message board and found a few bits and pieces but no mention of the knot used.

Maria gave me a clue where pliers are used in her article on replacing a rope Fender ,the nearest knot I reckon is the lorry drivers hitch!
Any ideas folks ?
Steve.
