Hi Simon.
Thanks for your reply. The Simon P has emailed me saying that both side windows should be the same. I got an email too from Hardy after sales stating that they are a mirror image.
I'm waiting for test template to arrive to check aperture any day. I've ordered both Windows for the wheelhouse and am awaiting news on the prototype hatch as to progress. I thought I read somewhere either on here or in the club magazine that a discount might be available for the sliding windows and the hatch. I've looked and reread but can't see anything about that now.
Looking forward to having ventilation on wet days cruising.
Pat.

Pat
I would have thought the apertures are the same, I suspect they were cut out using a template - but as ever with low volume boat building, there's always a chance there's a slight difference. Simon Papenick would have a better idea.
Cheers

Hi,
Decided to do the sliding windows first and am in the process of making templates. I have the starboard window out and templates made. Could anyone let me know if port and starboard apertures are the same? If so it would save me having to remove the port window. It's a 93 family pilot.
Many thanks in advance.
Pat.

Hi,
Thank you Simon and Robert for your reply. I keep Daisy on the river Shannon and mainly am interested in getting ventilation into the boat on wet days, especially when cooking. I am inclined to opt for the sliding windows myself but wondered what other boat owners thought about what they opted for.
Cheers,
Pat

Hi Pat
Personally I would go for the sliding windows first, unless you are having problems with the sunroof.
Kind regards
Robert.

Hi Pat.
I find it depends you your own mooring and use - essentially only you can decide. From my perspective, I have found the Sliding windows of a bosun more useful than the lifting hatch at sea - and would prefer to fit sliding windows to our H25, but i quite like the removable sunroof idea..
The Jura pilot crew fitted sliding wheel house windows - they would be well placed to advise.....
Merry Christmas
Simon

Hi, I am interested in the sunroof project and sliding Windows for my 1993 family pilot. As it is above my budget to do both in the same season I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on the benefit of which to go for first.
Many thanks in advance.
Pat.
