We had our first look at a Family Pilot 20 today, and the wife approves :)
Just the right size, not too fast and you can sleep onboard, it was not the one mentioned below, but this one ticked more boxes that that one, we are going to look at 2 more later in the week and then we will make a decision.

Thanks Derek

Wow that sounds weird!
My last boat, a Check Marine Pilot 17 dory, was bought by my late brother Derek and myself, I sold it on almost 20 years ago when I moved abroad just after my brother passed away, that, and that my wife was not keen on going boating.
Now she has recently discovered that she actually likes it, we picked out the boat below as being something we could use and enjoy around Scotland when we are home.
Regards
Alistair.

Cockwells have some records relating to the history and build of Hardy boats. May be worth contacting them. Penny in sales and administration was recently very helpful to me in establishing build date of my Pilot.

Hi all
I'm looking for information/age/history of a Family Pilot 20 that I have on my short list, her name is Elisha hull number 5441.
On looking through the back issues of the HOC magazine I seen that she was under the care of a Steven W of Southampton in October 2004 (Issue 90).
Broker could only give me general 1990s age
Regards
Alistair

Ahoy John,

All I can find out for you is that according to her build number, she was a River Pilot ordered through Sheppards Boat Yard and dated - 16/12/87

All the best,
Marie

Is there a document itemising the year and model of Hardy 20s by hull number?

Hi Nicholas In that case I'd think Circa 1992, maybe 1993. The 1994 boats usually had white and blue hulls I think, the moulded boats started from around 1990 / 1991. My Navigator is 2428 and she's a 1991, so she's nearby. Best Regards Simon.

Hi Nicholas. As a Guess, I'd say circa 1992. Does she have the Moulded interior and moulded cockpit? Best Regards Simon.
