Hi Craig. You'll need to do a seach for Chertsey Meads marine (The photos on thier website are not the actual boat!!) - the Hardy 25 is near Chertsey on the Thames - she needs a good deal of work and a good home. Look at the previous posts for this section (In the Archives) I have uploading photos there. Give me a call if you wnat further info (She's nothing to do with me, but i have veiwed her a couple of times, though now have another 25 (a white one with twin outboards!). Best Regards Simon.

Dear all. While I'm out and about I like to keep an eye out for Hardy's that look like they are in need of loving homes. Now, I have no idea of the circumstances, and maybe it's all in hand with the owner, but the time has come when I need to report a Hardy in Distress - She on the Hardy's at Risk Register (HARR) - if there was one!! I think I'll start one....yep - it's now started... The Hardy 25 Gin Slinger is also on it!! She is a Navigator 18 - I'd think either a 1989 or 1990 boat with the moulded interior but with the timber cabin shelves. She has no engine (either removed by the owner or stolen years ago). She is in Waterhead Creek - Kingswear - just opposite Dartmouth in Devon. She has a painted hull (who knows, maybe the paint can be removed) and will need an overhaul. She is full of water - and i suspect she fills on a high tide. She'll need new carpets cushions etc and some window attention, but she seems together.. I'd think the way to trace the owner would be a letter to the Kingswear Parish Clark with an offer (the boat is not worth much should be nice after some work)- to request it's forwarded to the owner for consideration. She's been languishing for a few years now and needs sorting.. (I would, but alas too many projects - but being in Dartmouth would be happy to lend a hand stabilising her and helping get her to a slipway, if you get full written approval from the owner). If you're looking for your first Hardy - or a nice little project to tinker with as a second boat - this could be it. Regards Simon.
