Peter.
You're getting there - great job - but i don't envy you.
I have to do a similar job on a J/24 Yacht. I found covering teh stripper with cling film or news paper helped - it seemed to keep it active for longer... might have just been me..
Keep going - I reckon you're cursing the person who painted the decks first time around!!
Cheers
Simon.

After a very wet winter over here in the East I finally managed a few hours to start removing the paint on the side decks of Dragonfly. I have counted eight coats so far and the only consolation is that because it is so thick a scraper is getting down a few coats without much trouble. Now I have the problem of getting the last few coats off without damaging the Gel coat. The earlier owners weren't to careful with the brush so it is proving a little slow to remove all the paint. I have some paint remover for GRP but it is very slow and removes very little now I am down to the early hard set stuff. This is where I am at the moment.
BR,
Peter
