As I did last year, I will try to go up to the Southampton boat show by boat weather etc permitting! I was thinking it would be a great show if a few Hardys could meet up there! Anyone up for it? I don't think you can actually vist the show this way, although I guess it could perhaps be arranged! Happy Easter to you all - at least Friday is looking half decent! Mike insall

I have added my home berth details to the list. Marie mentions the possibility of extending the facility to include events etc, but in the meantime, I thought I would add here that I intend to go to the Medway River Festival on Saturday, 9th July 2016. It would be good to meet up with fellow Hardy owners while there. Perhaps better to contact me via the new list, rather than this thread.

Announcement of new Social Members Section in the Members Only area of the HOC website Ahoy everyone. In response to members writing to us wishing to make contact with other HOC members in and around their home port regions, our webmaster, John, has set up a page within the Members Only area of our HOC website to enable everyone to do this if they so wish. We have mentioned previously on the Forum the problems arising in supplying complete membership lists to members, as regards the Data Protection Act. By making this new page available and only publishing the details of those fully paid up members who are happy to share basic details such as name, port, and email address, we feel that we have done our best to safeguard everyone’s interests as best we can. Those who post in this section must take responsibility for their own choice of details provided. Once we have seen how much interest is generated by this new facility, John may add further sections, enabling members to actually post information about events, ports, marine festivals or other get togethers they would like to meet at. At the moment it is a very basic set up, but we would encourage as many members as possible to make use of this new addition to our website. It is very easy to use as you will see if you visit the site. http://www.hardy-owner.org.uk/social/social-list.php Many thanks and all the best to everyone. Marie O’Connell Editor HOC
