Hi Lee, Sorry for the delay hope im not to late in responding. Yes mine does have carpet. There is a small bilge at rear were water can run but if your leaving on a mooring i would surgest fitting a bilge pump. I only have a winter cover on mine if your local to me your welcome to get a template from my cover it works well.

Thanks Phil for your reply, the one im looking at has a 60hp 2stroke on and double doors. Does yours have carpet in the rear so if it rains does it get wet in the back and is it self draining or would i need to fit a bilge pump as it does not have a rear canopyand she will be left on a mooring.

Hi Lee, I cant comment to much on why Hardy built some of these. But what i can say is i have a Regatta with the double doors and run a mariner 75hp 2stroke. I have just got back from Yarmouth isle of weight in a large sea wind force 6, not the best day for it. But the Regatta handled very well by closing the doors I had no spray coming in and covering anything.

Hi, i'm very interested in buying a hardy regatta but don't know much about them, why did hardy build the regatta when they had the pilot, what are they like in the sea, why have some have a bulk head with doors in, and what is the difference between regatta and pilot. I will be using the regatta for fishing and the odd weekend on board, Look forward for the replys.
