Salutations. Jean Michel Roche. (I live in Marseille (France, Mediterranean). I have 3 years a family pilot 20 which was equipped with a Yamaha 50HP outboard. The boat had a hard time planing (hover) and the maximum speed was painfully about 10 knots. After a year of use, I changed the engine for 80 hp Yamaha. I also equipped the boat leveling (flaps) of Volvo. Today the boat easily sails at 15 knots. The boat is very enjoyable by all types of sea and can reach speeds of 20 knots in calm seas if the hull is clean. By cons fuel consumption to increase. The average consumption of 15L per hour. The family pilot is a very nice boat for weekend or short coastal cruises to 2 or 3 people. Greetings.)
