I had a similar experience on my 25 which seemed to resolve itself as the belt wore in. I also tensioned using a small pinch/pry bar from the engine block to alternator to push the belt tight and replaced the spring washer on the banjo bolt with a nyloc nut on top of a plain washer. I have not had a problem since.

We have a Hardy 25 with BMW diesel and are experiencing problems with excessive wear on the alternator belt. The water pump has been stripped and re-built to prevent leaks and the pulleys have been cleaned thoroughly but the problem remains. After fitting a brand new belt and tensioning it OK it gets loose after on a few minutes engine running. We're told by a surveyor that this is common. Anyone found the same issue or got a solution?
