I recently purchased a Hardy 18 / 537 motorsailer fitted with a Yanmar inboard diesel engine with traditional stern tube & propeller drive. The hull is a standard 18/537 motorsailer into which a single moulded unit comprising stern tube support/transom/hull bottom, has been fitted into the original outboard engine well. The moulding is professionally made & fitted, probably when the boat was new. I am curious to know if Hardy Marine produced this hull configuration or was it done by another boatyard? Unfortunately the manufacturers serial number plate is missing. One final question is how do you tell an 18 MS from a 537 ? Many thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this. Regards Nigel
