Gallon Unit of volume. Equal to 8 pints. The Imperial gallon was defined in the act of 1824 as the volume of 10lb of water at 62°F. hope this helps

Hope this helps someone else soon after my my post i looked in the forward locker and found a brand new prop thirteen and half pitch by fifteen gave it a try i was amazed at the difference i could reach eigteen knots and rev to 5000 0ne up im e puzzled why the previous owner hadn t tried it i also made improvments by moving every thing heavy into the bow locker like spare fuel tools nothing that i didn t need i also moved the two twenty litre fuel tanks into the port rear lockers giving the boat a more even keel compensating for the auxilery engine whitch had been fitted stupidly on the starboard side the the same side as the helm

The Yamaha catalogue is good source of info - I found it helpful before I bought another prop. I would expect your engine to give you another 1000 rpm. If you were a member of the HOC you might be able to request copies of back issue magazines which have delt with this sort of problem before - so..............
