After 4 years I give up. Planning to mount a hard top instead, and mount a solar panel on it...

Shetland are making a new canopy for my Regatta but need the dimensions of the top hatch. I live about 100 miles from the mooring so can't get these myself. Does anyone know the measurements, please?

Still sitting here with 2 similar Top Hatches not fitting...Will send them back, maybe they THEN will make a correct one. Graham Green: my skype call is ''marwinols'', if you can assist me...
Spring is comming here, snow is almost gone so I´m planning to set the Regatta to sea next month or so.
If they can´t make a correct Top Hatch, I´ll better make a removable one in Aluminium or GRP...

2 weeks later another Top Hatch arrived... (Trouble with Norwegian Post??)
The canopy did fit ok, but I had to get some help from expert to finish the mounting... (All parts was in the sending.)
But the Top Hatch... Now I have 2 of them. Same size... Tried to mount one of them, but that was NOT possible! It is quadratic in shape 85 cm.
What I need is 52 times 112 cm. Wrong type! By phone Shetland Boats told me that this was the type they had got from Hardy... Then I phoned Hardy Boats and talked to a friendly guy (Andy) and he promised to correct this with Shetland Boats.
So I´m still hoping to get a correct Top before the season is over...
Anyway, the canopy is very well made, the expert said. And it looks fine on my boat.

Youngest daugther working in UK phoned them 3 days ago and got the TopHatch to her home today!! At last! (Ordered the Canopy AND TopHatch 15th of september last year...) Anyway, it is 60% cheaper than have this made here in Norway :-)
Will try the fit in 14 days (before the Regatta is set to sea).

Hi Graham.
You´r right. Canopy is in Norwegian Costom now. Awaiting back-paying of UK tax. Then I have to pay 25% Norw. tax... :-( Anyway, I saved 50% buying in UK!
(Seen on TV small snowfall in UK, and all traffic (almost) kolapsed.... Here we use wintertires with steel spikes! No problem when 1 meter snow comes down in a week... :-)

Marwin
They are possibly in hibernation or they haven't got over the Xmas holidays and the London Boat Show! it normally takes to the end of January before things start moving, plus the weather has been pretty cold in the deep south and that doesn't help, one fall of snow and the country grinds to a halt, heaven help us if they lived in your part of the world. hope your new cover arrives soon
Regards Graham
