Hi David,
Not trying to be clever (it has never suited me!) but electricity and water do not make good bedfellows and the risks can be high!
Best advice is to seek advice and direction from those best qualified to provide it to remain safe!
Col.

I've just recently installed a 16A angled input socket to the starboard side of my Pilot 20 similar to https://www.electricalworld.com/en/KnightsBridge-16A-240V-IP44-Angled-Surface-Mount-Socket-2-PE/m-3473.aspx. This then leads to the box holding the MCBs and RCD. The socket is connected via 32amp Arctic cable to the bollard on the pontoon. I was discussing this with a boating buddy and he raised an eyelid! He wondered whether this would meet with BSS regulations. The socket is rated as IP44 i.e splash proof . Thoughts please?
