Thanks everyone. Have located a local trimmer from the list of recommended contractors supplied by Harleyford Marina where the boat is, who seem confident. For reasons many you have mentioned about achieving a good fit i would rather pay a professional. I can turn my hand to most things, but this one is a bit beyond my skill set!

I used Canvasman for a new canopy for my Navigator. Fitted like a glove, but it was installed by a professional.

PS that was One Sail at Suffolk Yacht Harbour, not Nauticover.

When I had a new canopy for my 32 made a few years ago, they said that they never use the old one as a template, as any errors, stretching, sagging etc in the old one would be perpetuated in the new. Instead they made up a template with clear polythene sheet to align with the fittings etc, resulting in a good fit.

Just ordered a new canopy from Nauticover. Has anyone experience of a diy fit? Was proposing to use the old cover as a template to align the fittings. Are there any Instructions I can access?
