Dear Keith,
Many thanks for your prompt and extremely helpful response.
I think I'll collect some actual fuel usage data before deciding but expect I'll arrive at a similar conclusion.
Kind regards,
Martin.

Hi Martin,
I looked at the same flow meter for my own Bosun/Honda 75hp combination. I determined that the flow meter would only be in its operating range at above 3000rpm. I generally operate below that speed so deemed it not viable.

Dear All,
I am contemplating fitting a Garmin GFS 10 fuel flow sensor to the fuel system on my Hardy Pilot SE. My engine is a 2005 Tohatsu TLDI 70HP (MD70B).
The GFS 10 has a minimum flow rate of 7.57 L/hr. All I know about the flow rate for my engine is that it is 24.2 L/hr at WOT (5,500 rpm). I have no idea what the flow rates are at other rpm but suspect that GFS 10 would not register any flow at very low rpm. I can't find indicative fuel flow data for my engine through the rpm range so have no idea at what rpm the 7.57 L/hr flow rate might 'kick-in'.
My question is: has anyone fitted a Garmin or other flow sensors and what has your experience been?
Kind regards,
Martin.
