Dear Kenny,
Many thanks for alerting me to the previous posts. They are extremely helpful! My search message board search terms were clearly inadequate!!
Are you able to let me know the sizes/sources of the components you used?
Also, did you remove the frame and canvas cover? In my case the frame broke free in strong winds causing the damage.
Certainly I'm thinking of fashioning something similar to what you have done.

So far this winter we haven't covered my Bosun
I have seen a recent product that uses poles from bow to stern and the cover zips on!
It's called easytec and for mine I was priced at £300 a relative bargain

Dear All,
Does anyone cover their boat fully or partially (e.g. during winter) with something other than the canvas canopy? I am trying to find something that can be used instead of (or over) the normal canvas cover. The recent heavy winds have destroyed my canvas frame whilst on hard standing (see photo). So I am looking for alternatives to the standard canvas for the winter months. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
