Hi Martin,
Little progress to date I'm afraid.
MIsty Blue came ashore in Cardiff mid-November for an engine/drive service and to have a holding tank fitted. We don't live locally and when she came out of the workshop late in January we lost our available time on site in February to the wind and rain. When it wasn't pouring and blowing a gale the boat was left standing in a pool which made access too messy.
This month has been slightly better and I've been concentrating on getting the drive cleaned up ready to fit a Hydrofin before the relaunch next week. So it looks like I'll be attending to the jobs list when afloat again. I'll let you know how things go.
regards
Terry

I passed the images to Funky Monkey Boat Names at Lymington who are now producing them. If anyone needs similar have a word with Mark Kirton, great service.

My thanks to Graham and Regent for all their hard work in producing this. When I find a printer I'll publish details here.

The H is 39mm high

Blowing a bit of a gale here so struggled to get a steady boat!!

If you could give some measurements for the Hardy and Seawings lettering that would also be very useful. Just the H from the Hardy logo and S from the Seawings logo would do. This will enable me to work to the correct scale. Regards, Martin.

Building on Graham’s suggestion, if a good image is taken i.e. at right angles so as not to distort, it could be ‘reproduced’ using high resolution graphics in Adobe Illustrator. Once such an image is created, it would print well onto vinyl. I don’t know the logo, but if you could send me the image I’ll see what I can do. Regards, Martin.

If I try to take a good photograph of mine, could a vinyl print company make something for you?

Alas, that information is no longer available from Hardy/Windboats so any ideas would be most welcome.

I would contact Hardy boats (Windboat Marine Ltd) and speak to their aftersales dept. David will probably be able to look back in the files and tell you all.

My "Seawings 234" logo is starting to fall to pieces. The word "Hardy" is also looking suspect, unfortunately it's a decal and not a plate. I've used various suppliers of vinyl lettering in the past but I'm wondering if anyone knows the font size and style of the originals.
