Hi Cornish Pete. Sorry for the delay. It's an interesting idea - but to really comment I'd need to visit a F20 to have a look at the construction. It might be possible - but the finished item would need to be very strong and some beefing up of the moulding would be needed. If I'm right, the F20 has a self draining cockpit?? If so it maybe worth investigating further. I'll keep an eye out for an F20 - I think I'm surveying near one next week - I'll try to have a look. Best Regards Si.

Hi all, I have a Hardy Fisher 20 and my wife is having problems getting on and off by using a boarding ladder over the side as the boat is on a swinging mooring. ( we are not so young anymore ) I have a Honda 75, which is quite large on the stern and wondered if any one has ever thought about fitting a stern gate to make boarding easier. I am not sure if it be weakening the boat in any way and even if it would be possible to safely do this. If any one has already done this or has any ideas on the subject I would be very interested to hear about it. Best regards, Cornish Pete Cox
