Hi Stephen. We have a Yanmar 4LHSTE engine on our Mariner 25. On board I have a notebook where the previous owner has listed data including the prop data. Next time I am on board I will make a note. Wont be until next week now as we are just back from a week away. Tony

Hi Stephen.
Assuming your boat has the original engine set up, Hardy Marine should have that information for you - try giving them a call. Make sure you have both the engine and gearbox model numbers and the engine HP rating - they fitted a few different options on the Mariner, usually from 170hp - 230hp. If the engine and or gearbox have been changed to a non standard power / ratio since built, then you might be better talking to a company like Sillette Ltd (advertise in the HOC magazine) - they could probably work with the engine power and gearbox ratios to help direct you to the correct prop.
It would seem odd that the prop has been replaced for a non standard size - unless someone fitted a "River prop" i.e. too large and only gives low revs. Even so, quite unusual.
Best Regards
Simon.

Hi Stephen,
In the members area there is a section headed HOC Perfomance data (or similar).
Once you click on that Mariner is listed so another click and you will have some data to start you thinking.

I have a year 2000 yanmar engined Mariner and would like to know the correct specifications for a replacement prop as I am being told there is a mismatch with the current one. Thanks for any information.
