Hi Graham. Usually very reliable. If the float and arm is working ok - it sounds like the gearbox or needle is worn - though pretty rare to find one like this that doesn't work. Looking online, there are a few alternatives out there by the looks of things - very similar though I guess the length of the sender arm is important - might be worth checking. Either way, I'd wip it out once more and have a last go - just in case there's something else wrong with it - I can't tell you how many times have I replaced an item and then realised a couple of weeks later it was easily fix by doing xyz... Best Regards Simon

* My fuel guage appears to be stuck on full. I have had it apart and it seems to work OK when in hand except the needle sometimes does not move. I replaced it into a full tank and applied a dot of superglue to the needle spindle incase the aperture in the needle had worn causing it to spin freely. I have been out in the boat for two 1 hour sessions and the needle has not moved again. Any ideas?? can it be replaced and or is there an alternative. Many thanks Graham.
