Hi Phil.
I hope you are enjoying your H25 - super boats, so good I bought one. Happy to help ref technical aspects of the boat. The H25's were quite a varied vessel - there are Mk1's and MK2's, Saildrive, Sterndrive, Outboard boats etc etc - and over the years the vessels systems have changed boat to boat. Overlal it does depend on your boats age, engine and equipment.
Any Questions - please call.

Hi Phil,
I was an employee of Hardy Marine from 1983 to 1990 and build a number of hardy 25's during my time at Hardy marine. What sort of information are you looking for, as most of the equipment was the same throughout the hardy range at the time. The only major differences were in the main engine used from boat to boat. If you need any further information about your boat you can email me directly at jstarboatservices1@gmail.com and I am only to willing to help you out.
Kind Regards
Simon Papendick

Ahoy Phil,
I don't think that there will be a manual available for your 25, but what I can do is email you some archived information which I have. I will email you later this evening if that's ok, as I've only arrived back home a few moments ago and noticed your post.
All the best,
Marie

Hi Graham,
To winterise your engine is straightforward as long as you do a few jobs, first drain down the water around the engine if it is raw water cooled, if it as a header tank and antifreeze in the system then check the antifreeze ratio to ensure it is correct, then put a rag in the air intake and one up the exhaust pipe to keep the moisture out of the engine. Then fill the fuel tank up so that it is full so it can not get any water in over the winter. Then take the water pump impeller out and loosen off the alternator belt.
I hope this helps.

Hi Graham,
There should be an anode on the saildrive unit ahead of the propeller boss. On the boat there is no need for any of anodes apart from the engine as there is only the two sea cocks on the underwater part of the hull.

Thanks Simon.
The boat is on the hard now for winter. I notice there are no anodes at all on the boat. Should i fit one. Also is there anything I should do to the boat to winterise it. The engine is a 2000 volvo penta turbo.
many thanks Graham Dyer

On our Mariner the black, cylindrical, sprung button is the horn. Our horn reed was rusted solid so it didn't work. Replaced it with a stainless steel (Ongaroo) horn which is lasting well with an occasional silicon spray. Tony

Hi Graham,
The two sea cocks in the front are for a toilet which was not fitted, or as been fitted, but then removed later. There never many switches on the fishing 20 as there was very little fitted in the factory. Is your engine fitted in the boat with a sail drive unit or a v drive unit with the engine in the boat with the front of the engine up against the transom.
Kind Regards

Hi. I have just bought my first Hardy, its a fisher 20 1986. I would love to locate a manual if there was ever one printed. I have searched on line but to no avail. It has an inboard volvo penta 2000 turbo engine
I have only 4 switches on the consul, wipers, bilge and lights plus a sprung push button which seemingly does nothing. Would this be a horn that is either broken or disconnected.
Also the 2 stop cocks in the port and starboard forward cabin compartments. Are they to do with the toilet or fuel cut off. Any help greatly appreciated as I find my way round the boat.
Many thanks Graham Dyer
