Just an update I found a close match for the carpet and had a local carpet fitter cut the shape, cover the steps and whip the edges. Its a big improvement on the old, worn out one. Tony

Thanks for that. I try them. Meanwhile I have found a pretty fair match "nightfall". The whipped edging can be done at about 5 pounds/m. Covering the two steps top and bottom looks tricky. I`II keep you posted. Tony

If it is the original carpet you could try phoning Hardy- they will probably be able to tell you the brand and colour so that you can try and track it down locally. Have your boat model and build number to hand as they probably have a file on your boat which helps them track back. Our Mariner had a pale blue carpet so you need the right colour!

We would like to replace the dark blue carpet in the saloon and on the companionway steps. It's woven backed with a whipped edging. The piece under the table is fine and I'd like to keep it. Has anyone an idea of a source, please. Tony
