Thanks Simon. We really are lucky to have a chap like Simon in our Club - not only is he a Marine Surveyor and willing to chat to anyone regarding boats in general - he is also extremely knowledgeable about Hardys in particular. In the course of his work Si travels all around the country and abroad working on a variety of craft. If he spies a Hardy anywhere, he always contacts me to let me know just in case there is someone desperately searching for a Hardy. So take him up on this one, he knows what he is talking about - If you are the owner of this craft the same applies. Marie HOC Ed.

Just a note to bring this to the Forums attention: I have recently spied a 17PH sunken on her mooring on the River Thames at Laleham, Near Penton Hook lock on the Thames. I've no idea about the circumstances but seems a great shame. I hope someone gets in thier and sorts it out (I would but have too many Hardy's already). She'll need new linings, electics and a few other items - perhaps new timber boards - but they're simple litttel boats to fitout. If you're the owner and need a hand - contact me.. If the owner has given up, it could be a great chance to get a little Hardy for little more than some hard work (and a good salvage pump!). I don't think she's been down long - probably filled with rainwater... Si.
