Many thanks The Gribbin gang, I bought the boat this summer( if we can call it that) and brang it round from burnham on crouch to my mooring in lt wakering Essex but want to take it out for the winter and have been looking for a suitable trailer to buy but was unsure of the weight. Many thanks,Rob

Hi Rob I may be wrong here but the standard trailer for a Hardy Pilot will need to have a 1.5 ton max rating in either a single or twin axle format. Unladen the Pilot weighs in at almost one tonne. With a 45HP on the back aswell you can see the need for a gross weight rating of 1.5 tonnes, especially when you add kit, electronic add-ons etc. We had our single axle trailer built to a Pilot specific template by Superspeed Trailers of Brightlingsea, Essex. As to whether to opt for single or twin axle, well there is another ongoing debate!..... Good luck with it all. The Gribbin Gang.

I now know the weight of my Honda 45, but would appreciate if any of my fellow hardy pilot 20 owners could let me know the weight of the boat or where I could find this information,yours gratefully rob.

What is the gross weight of a hardy river pilot 20 with a Honda 45 hp on it and what size /weight road trailer will i need,many thanks if you can help.
