I have fitted a vent in the front hatch of my 20 Motor Sailer, very easy to do, and leave it and the cabin doors open over winter. Naturally, I remove all valuables from inside the vessel and have found that the cabin does not suffer from mould. The boat has a new well fitted cover.

After replacing the bungee cords and getting the canopy to fit snugly to the gunwales, i've now got mould on most interior surfaces whereas in the previous two winters there has been negligible mould when the canopy was poorly fitting. Do other members deliberately vent there Navi to aid air circulation? Deliberately leave canopy with gaps, or provide air vents in say the roof? Any advice welcome i'm not good at cleaning ...
