Ahoy Richard, I am still very happy with my Webasto Airtop 2000 blown air heater which was fitted in October 2010, as per the Forum post dated on the 1st October 2015. I will contact you via your email address to see if you have managed to get hold of the article written in 2010 and published in our Hardy Owner magazine. I tried to outline the various differences between the marine heaters available at that time - diesel, gas, catalytic, climate systems, low wattage cabin and tube and after careful consideration went for the Webasto as I felt that system suited me best as regards my own Family Pilot. You may require something different. I will be in touch soon. All the best, Marie HOC Editor

Ahoy Henry, I wrote an article in October 2010 edition of the Hardy Owner magazine, about my experiences fitting a diesel air blown heater in my own Family Pilot. I tried to cover all aspects, including what was available (including the Propex), where to position it, electrics, exhaust, air intake, fuel tank, cost, etc. I also included a set of photographs covering the installation. I will see if I can find a spare copy of that issue and either send it to you, or if not, scan it and email it to you. There were then, as there are now a plethora of marine heating units out there to choose from, and I did look at all of them, but in the end I went for the Webasto Airtop 2000. I am still very pleased with the unit. I will get back to you soon. All the best, HOC Editor

I'm currently completely refitting my 1981 family pilot . With the cold nights now drawing in and my desire to use my boat during the winter months I would like to fit some form of blow heating . I'm looking at the propex but unsure where to locate it ? Does anyone have any experience of these heaters ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated .

dear Dominic and Nicola, Thanks for your reply, and I promise to keep you posted on progress! Two appliances from one bottle of LPG is not a problem except for the rapitity with which they empty it. kind regards mike

No experience Mike but I watch your Propex installation with great interest. To date I have had a rather unsuccessful Eberspacher installed in our Pilot but it has been one problem after another. Propex is a much better and simpler route. Same size fittings too. Do you happen to know if one LPG bottle can fed two appliances simultaneosly? Best Dominic and Nicola.
