Cheers Steve, I am away working in Norway just now and organising surveys remotely so to speak, we tested the boat before I came away and she went great, everything worked which was nice and there were no oil or coolant leaks in the engine room so fingers crossed. I read the other postings on here too and it seems there is a lot of helpful and useful information to be gained. Thanks for the offer of advice and I might well take you up on it when I get home if I think there is anything suspect. Again many thanks Andy

Hi folks, am looking at a Hardy 27, it fits the bill for what we want perfect and there is a model with the smaller diesels 59hp volvo on shafts that we are getting surveyed. I wondered if anyone on here could advice any common areas of concern or anything in particular that should be looked at outwith the usual. We have had a few boats but they seem really well bolted together and I love the style too so fingers crossed she's ok, the boats a norfolk boat called Amethyst if anyone knows of her. many thanks for any advice
