Dear Reg, Yes as far as I am concerned the membership thing has been resolved. As you can see I now have a membership number. Although I think all new members should offer what ever help they can to prevent this problem arising again. I have already spoken to Rowland Stansfield to offer my help. All the best, Marie

Dear Andy, If you are able to view 'Contacting HOC' in the Forum of 25th June '07, you will see my input regarding trying to become a member, and the reply by HOC Webmaster, John Watson, on the 26th. Not a great state of affairs I agree, but maybe with so much interest, we can all band together and do something about it. Regards, Marie

Still no membership number or magazine - what a shame.

I'm in excatly the same boat (if you'll pardon the pun) - sent cheque over a month ago and nought in return. I did get what looked like an automated reply to e-mails, but no magazine of membership number. Andy

You are not alone Marie, I have been waiting 6 weeks after sending my application and cheque. Looking at an earlier message (Contacting HOC) it appears we are adrift with no secretary. I have just bought a Hardy 18 Motorsailer and would have really appreciated a regular magazine.

Could someone please let me know if it is normal for membership applications for HOC to take ages to come through. I sent mine in over three weeks ago and despite sending emails and leaving phone messages, I have had no formal acknowledgement. Could just be that the Membership Secretary is away, but it would be nice to know if they received the cheque! Thanks everyone, Marie
