REGATTA QUERIES I have just purchased a Regatta and wish to use her inland and inshore. 1. I cannot find a bilge! Is there one? I cannot find a hatch in the cabin /cockpit sole - maybe it is solid? 2. If so, how/where do I best fit: a. a bilge pump b. a depth transducer 3.All the cockpit is lined in carpet(original?) Has anyone modified the trim to cope better with water getting in whilst on passge? Advice gratefully accepted Mike P.S. I am waiting for my HOC membership to be processed. Mike Baumber

This is the same boat (hull) as the Regatta. (Many comments on this webside.)

I have had a 1991 Seawings 194 since 2003 which has proved tough and seaworthy. I use it up to 4 miles offshore for fishing in the Solent, using a 60hp outboad. It is easy to handle inshore, and will reach 20 knots on the plane IN A CALM SEA. It can be very lumpy in seas above f3-4, but never feels unsafe. It is almost identical to its predecessor the

Have seen one for sale locally and we are quite tempted. In nice general condition and believed to be from early 90's with good canopy and 20hp 4 stroke Honda . From comments here we feel we couldn't go too far wrong as a first tentative step into day / overnight river crusing and small enough tow. Lack of toilet cubicle is a negative of course and presumbaly it has limited sea capabilities versus the Pilot. This model seems rare however and therefore difficult to value. Any comments from a propsective owner very welcome. Thanks.
