Horizon 600 is a horizontal type, fitted on a fabricated plank about 6'' x 2'' which covers one half of locker lid the gipsy being central. The 2'' extra height brings your chain to a better level. The locker lid is halved fore and aft down centre line and the plank bolted on top and at each end into the deck surrounding the locker edge. The free end of locker lid is held down by shock cord. wiring done by electrician. works well from steering position. Cheers. N.B.

Similar question, but not quite a refit, I'm proposing to fit a 12volt windlass to my Hardy 25 and enquire if you have fitted to your boat, if so any info would be appreciated.

Hi Bob Me too! I am in the same position. I now have a Hardy 25 with a BMW d150 diesel, and will be refitting it this summer?? If all goes OK with a few engine things // etc.... I can send you pics If you like Please let me know? Mine has had a new cooker fitted and a pressured water system. I would rub down the wood and re stain it.(Consider not ripping it all out) The wood does come up like new if it has been looked after and is not damp all the headlining and vinyl I will replace also all cousions / carpets healm seats I will Keep you posted if you like? I'm about to start a complete interior refit on my 23 year old Hardy 25. The interior is still original and quite dated. I was wondering if there is any other Hardy owner (not necessarily a ‘25’ owner) who has any photos/plans/ideas of their own refit that they are willing to share with me (I'm happy to rearrange everything…and of course return any photos etc.). I get quite exited at the prospect of stripping it out and shoving it all in a skip, but petrified at the thought of re-building it! Any advice would be greatly received. Thanks.
