We can make these covers at very reasonable cost,as a Hardy owner myself i was aghast at the prices quoted and i believe there is a gap in the market for VALUE FOR MONEY!!!!Look at nauticover.co.uk for more details Typical price for a 20ft pilot is £345 in canvas or £435 in acrylic .You are welcome to ring me on 01752 406446 /07954 163740 .We are based in PLYMOUTH

Just regarding dates on the postings . . . I see the last comment was made in 2005 ! I did have a problem with Suffolk Trimmers regarding the top hatch on my 18'. Maybe they WERE ' Original equipment Manufacturers ', but the piece they sent me was well under specification from the original. Possibly just my luck ? . . . not sure ! Now I need a replacement canopy . . . I will be looking elsewhere . . . has anybody in the South West found a reliable canopy 'Tailor ' . . . Please post A.S.A.P. . . .Thanks

If time and weather permits the solution as I discovered is to send the old canopy as a template, result a perfect fit with the correct fastenings precisely matched and at a reasonable price. May I propose to our brilliant webmaster John,(Hi John)that a site subsection by constructed offering access to Hardy OEM suppliers, indexed by vessel type, this would reduce the need to trawl around the mass of alternative and sometimes substandard suppliers and goods.

Delighted to have been of assistance James, As Hardy do not wish to become involved with the supply of re-placement canopies the preffered option is to go to the original OEM supplier, therefore.......... Hardy owners should be aware that Suffolk Trimmers have been an OEM suppier (Original Equipment Manufacturer)of canopies to Hardy Marine and as such are well versed in producing the complete range of canopies for Hardy boats up to and including the Commander 32 As endorsed by James a quality product at a competitive price, more importantly it doesent flap around but ''Fits'' some Hardy's I have seen with retro fitted canopies have looked like mainsails, and no I am not on a retainer. Suggest Hardy owners make a note that Suffolk Trimmers are the OEM canopy supplier in their vessel manuals.

Good evening and smiles to you all, Does anyone have a rough indicator of what a decent, coated replacement canopy would cost for a standard Pilot 18? Thanking you in advance, James
